Thanks for the advice you shared in your messages. I am certainly willing to travel and frankly looking forward to the road trip home from another part of country. I was not aware that the later model years were that different in reliability, so I will be sure to focus on those in my searches going forward. The crossfire you recommend is one I’ve been eyeing, but I’m afraid is a little out of my budget. I was hoping to get a decent example of a crossfire for under $10,000, but am willing to stretch that a bit. I’m refreshing all the auto sites I can get my hands on every day! I’d love to buy from a forum member as I expect it’s more likely to be well-maintained.
Sorry for the delay in responding - haven't been active here much over the winter.
No - the grille that I have didn't hide the marks left by the factory grille. My bumper cover was already in sad shape and the factory grille was a mess so the after-market was still a vast improvement.
Hi, yes, I just saw that today as well. It looks very nice however I was able to find one last week and bought it. cars to drive. Thank you for the reply though. Until last week I was not seeing anything I liked.
Just changed spark plugs, thanks to all for the helpful hints , I used ( 2) 1-1/2" wobble extensions which really came in handy now I just need to soak in a hot tub for a couple of days to get the soreness out. I should have removed the valve covers and the intake manifold to send them out for powder coating but that's another project for later. Right now I just want spring and drive the car.
